Wearing my heart on my sleeves

I couldn't resist this sweater with the hearts on the elbows :)

 I want to share with you a special place of mine that is near and dear to my heart. My hubby and I stumbled upon this hidden gem of this beautiful cliffside near Santa Cruz few years ago, while driving around lost trying to find our destination. Needless to say, we decided to forego our original destination and stay put here. I absolutely love the serenity of the endless view of the shoreline and ocean and the soft continuous sounds of the crashing waves. I came to this spot when I first had to face my new diagnosis of cancer two and half years ago, which helped me find inner peace and strength at that time. I've returned to this spot from time to time for different reasons, but haven't been back for 2 years. We decided to revisit here while our time in California, this time to celebrate and appreciate life and health to the fullest. Now that I'm back to my regular fast-paced daily routine, it's refreshing to step back for a moment and to remember the bigger things in life that are important. 

Thanks for reading through my little divergence from fashion, and thanks for letting me share with you another aspect that is important to me.
